Three days of rain in Squamish sent the flows skyrocketing. Cody had got on an early Tatlow run at an extremely high flow with S.Easterner, Garath Tate. Mike Fisher drove up from Arizona and met up with Cody for a high flow Mashater Creek run. This is a "fading out of the limelight" classic in the middle of Squamish (with a newly built overhead bridge). It gave Mike a run for his money. He opted to run the frequently portaged, lower drops and was stuffed in an inescapable pocket underwater, on the 2nd tier. This resulted in a helpless beatdown behind the falls. Watch the video for the rest, and please be safe out there. A Safety Reminder.
Kawa no Nihon....or "Rivers of Japan". This video is produced by Sean Kinsella of Ireland. While Huckin Huge Films was in Japan shooting, Sean was able to break away from canyoneering guiding and got to boat with us on a couple of runs. This is the video he shot while on some of the missions. It's also good teaser of whats to come out of that country! Thanks to Sean for hospitality and motivation out there!

The rain in Squamish sure didn't do much for the flows on Mamquam River, that is until directly after Paul Gamache hucked it at an EXTREMELY low flow. He styled the falls and while celebrating in the pool, the flood gates opened and the canyon flooded. Seems that when the boys from Seattle roll into town, some shit goes down! The huckfest can be seen in The Risen Sun.

60-70 feet with 80 cfs....to some it doesn't quite add up. Paul, Huckin Huge. Wham-bam-thank you-Mamquam.

Huckin Huge Films has been EXTREMELY busy. With being stationed in the North West for the meantime, there is so much to run with very little time. So here is a video (plug) and photo update on the current happenings over the last month. We don't want to ruin any surprises, but some major missions have been going down. New products, updates and goods are on the way. Enjoy. Pictured above is Cody Howard's 1st time, blind run of Spirit. Photo: Ryan Scott

Not in sequential order, Ben Hawthorne aka hizzle and Cody Howard, hit up The Fear Canyon of the Elaho at 300cms (high). This would prove to be a vital training mission for bigger and badder things to come (stay tuned). While out there, they pressed further upstream to scout out a little known FD in the area. Turns out to be an ankle breaker but doable.

| And now for your viewing pleasure...a video brought to you by our some of our sponsors. This features Team Paddler, Cody Howard boofing and jammin' out on some classic drops on Callaghan in Whistler, B.C. And a virgin, blind run over Spirit. | The One. The Stikine. With snow and rain on the forecast and gauges spiking, a team of three put on and completed a successful descent of this sacred canyon. Click on the picture or here to read the epic trip report. |

After the successful descent of The Stikine (TR here). Cody, Corey and Ben returned to Terrace, BC itching to huck some waterfalls. Seeming that they hadn't scared themselves enough, they looked into a nearby creek that a team had hiked out of earlier in the season. The report from the previous attempt was that they had too high of a flow and the canyon dropped off of multiple 40 - 60 foot waterfalls downstream....with no escape. Sick! After a mess of hell-f*ck, Cody Howard and Corey Boux were the only ones to put on. What they found was an extremely narrow slot canyon, with 3 sketchy portages (requiring large jumps into shallow pools....bring a rope!) Five, 10'ers and a beautiful, must-run 40 footer!

Near the bottom of the slot canyon, a "narrower-than-your-boat" 50 footer. Old growth surrounded it, providing an easy portage.
Corey Boux dropping the must run 40'er, prepared for the "white-out" green landing.
Corey awaiting touchdown into the sketchball pool, stoked as hell!
Cody Howard coming in hot, hitting the kicker and stompin' out the impact.
