An awesome portage.

It's Huckin Huge's 8 year anniversary. Starting in November of 2000, we've been promoting the sport of whitewater kayaking and active lifestyles. Halloween weekend was the celebration, and some crew went on a binge fest of large waterfalls. It's been dry but don't worry, we ran whatever was running, regardless of sleep, weather or soreness, Halloween style - aka scary lines. Enjoy the video.
It's time for the first ever, reader submitted photos to be featured on the Underground. We would like you to meet two boaters who are out there gettin it done. Huckin Huge has hooked them up and are looking forward to their future paddling adventures. HH Affiliated. - Meet 16yo Todd Wells of Trout Lake, WA and Fil Payne (The Risen Sun athlete), 19yo from Cave Creek, AZ

Paul Gamache has just dropped the 108' 2" Cascade Falls of British Columbia. A short run down of the upcoming story is as follows: Cody Howard and Paul Gamache arrived on the site the day before. After spending a full day of rappelling, scouting, "ghost shipping" and discussing the lines, they determined that the falls were marginally runnable. Ryan Bradley of Bellingham, WA to came out to help run critical safety, rounding out the crew. Early morning on November 22, 2008 Paul was belayed into the undercut holding tank by Cody from his stern grabloop. After sitting in the tank for a terrifying 5 minutes, waiting for safety to be set, he then dropped off the edge, freefalled, tucked and rolled up at the bottom with everything intact, and no skirt implosion. The falls were surveyed today (23NOV08) by a Geo-Tech Engineering Firm, confirming the recorded breaking "freefall" at 108' 2". Total fall including lead in was measured by the first descent crew at 112 feet. We congratulate Paul Gamache and the team on this monumental descent. Look for the upcoming story, photos and video in THE RISEN SUN.
