| In case you haven't read the news in the last month, let us fill you in on whats happening up here in the PNW. Snow, snow and more snow. The streets look like some sort of war zone, with cars and trucks over turned and backwards on every other exit in town. The low elevation rivers have been cooperating with good flows, but the conditions make everything a class harder, with the ice and snow. This isn't slowing down the team at all. HH Films brings you the traditional New Year video. Winter Update. Scott Waidelich, Chris Korbulic and Cody Howard hiked into Butte Creek, OR yesterday (4th Jan) and ran the goods. Upon arriving to the previously un-run 75ft. Butte Creek Falls, Chris Korbulic stepped up and gave 'er. With a beautiful tight line down the left side, he dropped a monster first descent. | Huckin Huge Films went to Japan this last June and documented the amazing kayak expedition. Dropping into unrun gorges, falls, urban settings and remote canyons, the crew came away raving about the superb creeking in the country. One of the team members, HH's Harlan Taney was caught in a near fatal landslide and was flown home the following day with damages to his knee. Mike Fisher and Cody Howard continued to press on, deeper south on the main island, finding sketchy slot canyons littered with massive falls. Further south is the island of Shikoku, which has some great boating as well. Here is Satoshi of Happy Raft huckin huge. Teru and Satoshi have been killin' it down there! Stand by for the "Asian Norway", Japanese goods in THE RISEN SUN, a Huckin Huge Film |

| DEFCON HUCK. Picked up on the radar was Outlet Falls, WA. This impressive fall finally had enough water to run and saw it's first descent. Over the course of two banner days, five boaters dropped this beast. With a stout lead-in, requiring launching into a rapid and then running another to it's lip, this fall is instantly legendary. The surrounding walls with clinging icicles was one of the most gorgeous settings. Special thanks goes to all the people onboard for the descents. Earlier in the week, Bett Adams and Cody Howard were able to take advantage of the flooding creeks and locked down a killer park n' huck on one of the country's most beautiful drives...Chukanut Drive. Just outside of Bellingham, WA is a secluded beach and a waterfall dropping into it, the tricky Clayton Beach Falls. Check the video...there's a $ surprise, click here for the HD Video! |
